Carbonation = Congestion????
Just a thought on ear fullness, stopped up feeling, popping, and congestion.
(I stopped drinking any kind of carbonated drinks about a year ago. I stopped because I wanted to take aspartame out of my diet for many reasons.)
My TMJD is considered late stage and not a lot of options left for help. However, occasionally I do have some improvement in some symtoms.
I had always had ear pressure, feeling of being clogged or stopped up, nose congestion that felt like it went to my ears.
I have not thought about it, but I have not had those symtoms in a long time. My symtoms are always changing so if something gets better, I give "Thanks" and go on to deal with the new ones.
For some "stupid" reason, last Wednesday night, I drank a diet cola before bed. After almost a year, I just decided to drink one.
Thursday morning I got up with ears stopped up, nose closed, all kinds of congestion and felt stuffed up all day. I thought it was probably weather related.
After, re-reading some posts on members having so much ear fullness and congestion, it occurred to me that my episode lasted about 24 hours and went away. (Weather has not changed)
I just wonder if cabonated cola could have anthing to do with some of these problems? I'm not going to drink anymore.
I would like to hear from any of you who have these symtoms and if you drink carbonated beverages.
