For the most part, my TMJ was caused by "Mother Nature" - my jaw structure was too small for the number of teeth I had. It also didn't help that I had 2 permanent teeth extracted, in an effort to correct some crowding, at around age 10.
My TMJ dentist told me that my TMJ had been "brewing" for about 25 years!
You had your teeth pulled out at age 10! No wonder you had problems with your jaw. I read somewhere on the net that when patients get their wisdom or other teeth out for whatever reason for, they may end up having their bite changed from it, or other problems come up as a result of it.
