Hey, just read it now, haven't been to the board in a couple days.....

well so far with my bite plate things seem to be getting better, which makes me FEEL better at least....

I don't know what caused it for sure, but right after I got my upper wisdom teeth out in February is when I started having problems...went to like 4 doc's here in Toronto, INCLUDING an ear nose and throat specialist, none of them knew what it I researched it myself and went back to the dentist about 2 weeks ago, got a bite plate (well, a front tooth thingy) last Friday night....
I still feel pain cuz I still feel like I want to grind them, cuz I feel soreness and constant tension in my jaw...I'm trying to relax it all the time now....

I will be living in Cole Harbour when I return to technically it's NOT halifax, but you know how it is trying to tell people where those areas are around HFX, it's just easier to say "Halifax" grandparents live in the hydrostone near the McKay, so I have a pretty good idea where you're located....

Thanks for the quick reply! I guess my help for you on locating a good tmjd in Halifax didn't help much, since you will be living in Cole Harbour. I am sure you will find a good one near your place...just looking in the phone book is a good start

Your situation with your jaw problems...possibly caused by getting your wisdom teeth out seems to be a common thing. I feel for your pain. I do hope the bite splint you have will settle things down for you. I don't know how long it will take for you to feel alot better, because everybody's response time is different.

Wish you all the best in health!
