Thumbs up Good News....I Think....

Hey There,

Last week when I took my son to his Masso. appt., one of the ladies that work there sat down and talked to me. She was telling me how much it bothered her to see him there EVERY week. Here, she's the owner, and a TMJD sufferer, as well. She's gotten the pain under control, after many doctors and many splints. She even said that she had broken a few of her splints due to awful nighttime clenching! Anyway, she said that she would "take over" when he comes to masso. (makes me feel better that someone that has experienced this is going to work on him)

She asked who he was seeing for this, and she gave me the name of a specialist that also works with kids. (she didn't tell me if this was who she had seen) Here, I get home and look into this doctor, he's only about 10 blocks from my house! Monday morning I'm going to call and get him in for a consult., take his 2 splints, and see what he thinks. (hey, this other guy he now sees, wants to send him to a pain clinic in a few weeks anyway!) Hopefully, this doctor has some better ideas and possibly better treament options. We have our fingers crossed, I'm just excited, and wanted to let all of you in on it, too!
Cheryl

Wonderful Cheryl!!! Please fill us in after his consult. Usually word of mouth is the best way to find somebody good and hopefully this is the break you and Mike have been looking for

Please let us know and best of luck, Jill

Yeah!!!!!!
Doesn't it make a difference when someone who has the power to do something truly cares about your situation. I hope this works for Mike.
So you can actually break your mouth piece when you clench, hmmmm. That is very good to know.
