Hi! I have noticed about five "lines" in my splint. Are these fractures? I ask because my left side doesn't feel quite right--it feels like I've really chewed it down or something. If these are fractures, is it ok to keep wearing it until Monday when I go back to the dentist?

As long as you're not getting any new pain, I'd probably wear it until Monday. My son's has lines, divots, etc.. all over his, and the doc said that it's "wear and tear". Sounds like you abuse your splint, too!!!!!

Hi there!Mine looks the same way.I guess I bite on it in my sleep.My Doc said it was okay and was cracking jokes making light on it.He also said it's better the splint,than my teeth!

Thanks Cheryl and Uscoastiewife. It makes me feel better to hear that. I know I am "chewing" on the left side. It feels softer, thinner and more plasticy than the right side. I just hope this thing makes it until Monday when I get to see the dentist again. I have had an awful headache today, I hope it doesn't get worse before I see him.
