Post Why two splints and spacer???

Hey Guy's

I haven't posted on this spread for a while, I have on question that I hope someone can help me with, the TMJ specilist want's to fit me with and upper and lower splint to wear at the same time, they also want to put a metal spacer on my bottom teeth. What is the point of that....
I hope that someone knows or atleast has heard of this being done....

Thanks

Kierra

Hi Kierra:
I don't have an answer to your question but I did want to say that it's nice to see you back. It has been awhile.

Hi Guy's im back

Well I just got back from the TMJ specialist and nothing was done.. . Because of the pain I wasn't eating properly "as we all know we can't" my jaw apparently has no movability at all. They have told me that I need to learn to deal with some of the pain and that I need to go to a pain management facility and once I have that done then they will see about getting me the splint that I need. All that time and money getting there to say that I have to go back again in 2 weeks...I give up.
How is everyone doing? Anyone feeling better than the last time I posted?
Im really hurting so I am going to cut this short
Take care
Kierra
