Hi Al: I'm reading them off the sheet he gave me, so here goes. 1) Move your lower jaw to the right and left as shown with a tongue depressor between your teeth. Hold 2 seconds, 100 repetitions 3 X a day
2) With the glove under your chin, open your mouth. Gently stretch your mouth open. Hold 2 seconds, 100 repetitions, 3 X a day.
3) With the cotton roll between your back teeth as shown, please your fist beneath your chin and on top of the head. Push your lower jaw down, while resisting movement with your hands. Hold 2 seconds, 100 repetitions 3 X a day. I hope you can picture those.
I wonder if those are the same type exercises that others on the board have done? BTW, maybe you'd want to see my TMJ DDS in San Diego. He's very experienced, compassionate, and he's the only one out of 3 who has helped me. I'm not sure what his total cost is b/c I brought my x-rays to him from the first TMJ DDS who screwed up my bite. He has seen me several times and not charged extra for adjustments. The 2nd one I saw was going to charge $250 per adjustment after the first 6 visits. I had posted his name once before, but if you're interested, let me know. Sue
