Hi,
I don't mean to seem impatient with my new splint but I have a question regarding it. It's only been 3-4 weeks since I have had it, I have had two adjustments. The day or two after my adjustment it feels good in my mouth but as soon as I get past that, I feel myself bite down on it more often and then my left side just freezes up the entire time I wear it. Even after taking it out, it takes about 30 minutes for the muscle to relax again and open up. I told my Dr. that and he said "That's ok, it doens't mean it isn't working." On the good side of things, I notice one small improvement that has me encouraged. If I try to slide my teeth forward, the horrible pop that used to go along with it is gone on the left side.
I was considering calling today and asking them if I could get a treatment of the tens machine when I go for my appointment on Wednesday.

ps, oh and does anyone else feel like its hard for their appliance to do its job at night because they are a mouth breather and don't keep their jaw shut to sleep? I think I do a mixture of clenchng down and breahting with my mouth hanging open. haha.
