Hi Cheryl,
Well, the appt. went pretty well. He was very thorough and he did do xrays. I do have some mild scoliosis. (I thought I remembered the pediatrician saying something when I was a kid) Luckily my spine and neck are only slightly out of wack so he thinks I will only need maybe 4-5 treatments to get things back in line and then come on an as needed basis. There is a massage therapist (deep muscle) in the same building that I can see prior to an adjustment too. She won't be covered under my insurance though but I just may pay out of pocket for the 1/2 hour massage a few times. Since most of my problem is muscular he said it may help alot to see her first. But he felt that if we can get things back in line I won't have so much muscle pain in my neck. Wow! I am really hoping he is right. I am seeing him again on Thursday. Next week he is on vacation so I think what I will do is sto the flexeril after Thursday's appt. and see how I am feeling. It would be wonderful if this works for me and I really can only go on an as needed basis. Maybe like once a month or so. I did have an adjustment today and it didn't feel too bad. The strangest thing too is that afterwards when I was standing at the desk making the next appt. I felt my ear on that side opening up. (it was a good feeling) Guess I hadn't realized how closed up it was. I know that certain noises had been bothering me lately.
So, did you get Mike's splint today? If so, how did everything go? Guess I better read the other posts for today and see if you have one about it. I sure hope you got it and it fits well and Mike starts to have instant relief with it. How was his chiro and massage appts also?
Well, I will talk to you later, Take care, Michelle
