Hi, I posted a few times before and received great help.
Background: I have always had migraine headaches and history of back pain that did not interfere with my life. In September 2002 while I was 6 months pregnant I was in a car accident where I ended up cracking a molar. I suffered from really bad headaches (different and worse than before the accident), dizziness, lock jaw, neck and back pain along with the tooth pain after the accident but, did not seek xrays etc other than the tooth as I was pregnant. I got a cleaning person, took tylenol and motrin and tried to rest and had the baby in January and finally at my dentist recomendation went to a head, neck, facial pain dr. who started weekly treatments and got me a dental appliance for my lower teeth. I was getting somewhat better but, still had the dizziness, and fewer headaches and back pain. Found out I had a herniated disk at c6 and c1 to 5 were all bulging (per the dr. not supposed to be that bad, easier for him to say this.) and have had trigger point injections and twice a week chiropractic care. Well I lost my dental appliance and lo and behold after 2 weeks, the headaches came back and so did the lockjaw. I thought I was being cured and now I am not so sure. I am back to daily headaches (from mild to moderate 2 to a 6 in a 10 scale) but only occassional lock jaw, I still can't open my mouth fully and my bite is still off. The dizzines is still there too. I have been fitted for a new appliance.

What I want to know is the weekly therapy and the appliance really a cure? I don't want to go through life reliant on all these dr's and wearing an annoying dental appliance. I have a 7, 5 and 6 month old and I don't have the time to waste with something that may not work. I know it was helping but, will it eventually cure me? Or will I be doing this for life? It has been 6 months of therapy now and I can't afford to do this. Please someone let me know that there really is a cure????????? Also, I am still nursing my son 2x daily and the dr. says that there are alternative medicines that he would try if I wasn't nursing? Do they work.
Additionally, I went to a neurologist who has a theory that once a headache person, always a headache person and as I have a history of migraines, he claims that these are migraines and the accident was just a trigger that worsened them and he also wants to put me on immitrex if I stop nursing? What is others thoughts on this?

I need to get better so I can be with my family and be a better mom. I am 36 years old and I feel like I am neglecting my husband and kids. I am trying harder to excercise and swim but, I don't have much time witht he baby and all the dr appointments and when I do try to excercise, I always feel worse.

Please,let me know that some of you are actually cured? Or give me some good advice of what I should do and how I should proceed.
