I've never had locked jaw but I have a friend that knew a girl at MIT that went to the ER for locked jaw (a result of a lewd act that I probably can not mention on this board). In any case, they shot her up with novacaine.
My jaw used to lock all the time. Once my Mom brought me to the emergency room, all they could do is give pain meds with an IV they cannot force you open.
