Oh boy guys, I am down and depressed right now. I just went and picked up my MRI results andstarted bawling...literally.
Finding:
On the right side, there is anterior displacement of the posterior band of the disc with the mouth closed. With opening of the mouth, the condyle translaets across the posterior band of the disc which may be responsible for the clicking heard on the right side. These findings are compatible with the diagnosis of mild derangement of the R temporomandibular joint.
On the Left side, the findins appear to be more severe. There is anterior displacement of the disc with the mouth closed, on the left. With opening of the mouth, the disc appears to remain in an anterior position. These findings are consistent with severe internal deranegment on the left.
Findings
Both TMJ joinnts appear to be abnormal. There are findings compatible with mild internal derangment on the right and SEVERE internal derangement on the left.
I have no idea of what to do or who to turn to. I feel sick to my stomach and apologize for venting it out on the board. But I do really appreciate your ears and support.
And ideas would be greatky appreciated!
