I have been doing really weird stuff with my mouth lately ever since i've been feeling sick. When I wake up in the middle of the night my top teeth are biting hard on my lip? Any ideas? One more thing sometimes when i bite down my teeth feel all off? Are these signs of TMJ? I already know I have it but are they?

Before my tmjd really made its presence known, I had been waking up some mornings biting my own tounge??!!
How bizzare is that?? I would be biting so hard with my front teeth, that I'd have to ever so slowly pry them open??!! I always thought this was major strange. I guess it was just a sign of things to come.

I just wasn't sure and I thought it was the weirdest thing! hehehe I also fin myself during the day just biting my front teeth together? It's weird but I guess it could be considered a sign!

thanks for your response. i never bite my tounge but i do to my front lip. i think it is the funniest thing and i just thought maybe my mouth is getting worse? i have no idea and i know it is not funny but when i wake up in the middle of the night it's like what? HeeHeee

You're welcome. I know it's so hard to figure all this out. The splint does keep me from some of these strange mouth behaviours...if nothing else. When my jaw goes out though... with or without the splint, the tissue inside the mouth gets very traumatized. It's like the bite is off and the teeth cut into the inner cheek.
