I had arthroscopy surgery in 1995 on my right T-M joint (back in NC). The surgery went very well and I have been extremely pleased with the results.

My left T-M joint has significantly worsened over the past couple of years and I am now looking for a maxillofacial surgeon to possibly operate on it as well.

Can anyone recommend a surgeon in the Boston area. I'm relatively new to the city and I don't really know where to begin to find someone.

Sorry, doesn't seem to be anyone from that area on the board...you might try looking for the ABMS the American Board of Medical Specialties and check for board certifications in your area....that's how I found my doc in OH...

Hi Shannon, I currently am seeing a doctor from Brookline, his name is Dr. Willie Stevens. He is going to do a discectomy on my left tmj. I am having it done in October. He seems to know what he is doing, he came highly recommended bye another doctor I am seeing. I hope this helps, good luck Kaamom
