you know, i definitely think that it's time for you to look for another dentist who takes your complaints and concerns seriously.
if your teeth are chipping, you must be grinding and/or clenching at night. what other explanation could it be? unless someone keeps on punching you in the mouth while you're sleeping.
anyway, you've come to the right place.. im sure that someone's in your area -- miami, florida -- and can recommend a good dentist.
