Post facial massage? Physical therapy?

When I got my heating pad I saw in the same shop some small things meant for facial massage, I think they made the muscles relax, does anyone know what I mean? Does anyone use anything like this to soften/relax muscles in the face and neck?

Then, I see many use physical therapy, could anyone describe what happens with this and how it helps them?

Thanks!

Isobel

I'm on physiotherapy at the time and it seems to help me, but for a short while only.
Massaging the masseter and temporalis muscles, but it feels funny, like your face is all numb or something.
Fascinating sensation actually....

What kind of "equipment" are you referring to?

Thanks StylophonePet! Well, I was looking at plug in or battery operated 'things' which have a smallish round head with various attachments, you hold them in your hand and use them to massage the face. Sorry the description is so bad! There seem to be some with attachments for scalp, facial, back massage and so on and others are simply meant for use on the face. I thought they could perhaps help the spasms or 'pulsing' I get in my face, for some reason after exposure to loud noise (which I'm now heartily doing my best to avoid). I don't know, maybe they would alternately make things worse.
