Is this caused by the eustachian tubes?
Some weeks ago, driving through mountains, I feld my middle ears swell with pressure and fluid and for a couple of days afterwards in both ears the middle ear remained swollen, then it decreased. However at the same time as the ear probs when in the mountains I noted that suddenly when I bent my neck forward, or turned my head from side to side I could hear clicking. This has continued. I thought it was my neck making the noise but it's occurred to me (after I read that the eustachian tubes go down into the throat), particularly given the timing - given that the clicking noises started with the middle ear problem - that what I'm hearing are not my neck bones or vertebrae or whatever, but the eustachian tubes themselves popping or spasming? The noise is odd, almost like light crunchings, small clickings coming very close together, does anyone else have it?
