ON Sept 19th i went to the dentist to have two wisdom teeth removed. one was upper right, the other lower left. When i arrived at the dentist i had to wait because they said they had a lot of walk ins. when they finally saw me they injected me with novacaine, and i felt a sharp "lightening" type feeling in my tongue, and started shaking. i told them this but they continued with the extraction strarting with the upper tooth, which came out easily.

they proceeded to the bottom, and started attempting removal, and THE POWER WENT OUT! i had to sit the and wait to see if it went back on, but after about an hour they sewed me up with someone holding a flashlight, and sent me home.

they would not see me again until that next tuesday Sept 23rd. i was in extruciating pain, and the same happened with the novacaine (lightening feeling in tongue and shaking). the extraction was long and painful, and i felt like my jaw was going to be dislocated my how far that had it opened. he also put the mirror in my mouth in a way that made me feel like i was gonna choke.

okay, so after the removal, they gave me the tooth and sent me home. i was in terrible pain, and after a few days realized that my tongue was numb, and i can barely open my mouth. i went back for two packings, and all he said regarding this is that it can take up to 6-8 weeks for the numbness to go away or longer.

i am still numb in half my tongue, and my lower left inside. i can still barely open my jaw, and have pain in my jaw on that side if i try and open it further that it can go. i have bad headaches, and i feel like i have an ear infection and swollen gland on that side, numbness in my hands, as well as difficulty swollowing. also i noticed a ball or knot in front and slightly below my ear on the other side. when i called the dentist about this, he says again, it could take months.

because of the fact that i have no pain at the tooth site, and its healed, i am concerned that i will not be able to open my jaw fully again without some type of help, and my numbness may be permanent. i am scared, and upset.

i called my doctor who will not see me. also i was on antibiotics from like the beginning of september because i had a chest cold.

please someone tell me what to do?
