Ouch,
This is a progression of TMJ problems. Once it starts, it normally continues until you get some type of treatment.
Did you ever see anyone to diagnose your problem? Getting treatment as early as possible when symtoms start is very important. Your symtoms will normally get worse, not better.
You possibly need to speak with your family about seeing a Dentist who could diagnose and start treatment. Many times, TMJ problems in early stages can be treated very quickly and effectively. If you have made arrangements regarding an appointment and I missed your post, I'm sorry. I hope you have.
I read your other post and previous ones about facial redness. This is usually a neural reaction. If it's caused by the TMJ, it's most likely muscles compressing nerves.
Facial redness can also be caused by high Blood Pressure. If it is occasional, it can be Blood Pressure spikes which does need to be checked also. I wouldn't think this would be your problem, but it is very important to know what is causing this.
The locking and the facial redness is your body telling you something is wrong and these things need to be checked by a Doctor or Dentist.
