I get headaches behind my eyes, at my temples and it continues up from my eyes to the middle of forehead. My jaw feels very tense(specifically the upper cheek area.) I don't know if it's the tension of the situation or it's medically related. I've seen these "floaters" before but I only get them perhaps 2-3 times a year and I don't get headaches after/before them. I've had nasal surgery 2 years ago for this. (I think I got jipped) I've seen numberous ENT's w/MRI's. I was told I do not have TMJ based on MRI. 2 weeks ago my MD gave me Zyrtec. Huh? Anyway, I can see that the docs have no freakin idea what's up so I'm turning to you. I'm thinking, allergies?, migraines?, long lasting tension headaches?, or just plain old anxiety symptoms. I've been told lately that this could be TMJ. Did I get enough testing done for that? I've seen a psych over this and they still are at a loss. They say it sounds like axiety, but they want me to take xanax all the time. I don't want to have to do that. I'm sorry, I tried to make this short. PLEASE, any insights/suggestions/words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Anything please! TIA |
Dear Stell, I feel for you, I'm no expert so I not goin to even try to diagnose you, but I have had TMJ for 8 yrs but only been diagnosed for 4 of the 8. There is nothing worse than knowing something is not right with you, but no one can put there finger on it. my jaw would lock and my doctor would say it was from stress, I would think she was nuts, but in some ways she was right. If you want to try some releif though, go to your drug store , they should have appliances(mouth guards) for tmj. I went to a specialist and spent major bucks on my jaw,and later found these
mouth guards in a drug store, mind you mine was made especially for me, but it might be worth a try.TMJ has alot to do with jaw clenching and grinding, mind you I don't think Im a grinder, these mouth guards stop clenching and grinding
I hope I have been og some help, good luck and take care.
