| In English?: My diagnostic Report
For all you who are interested in the condition of other TMJ patients, here is an abridged version of my diagnostic report that I received in the mail today:
"[My] chief complaints were jaw joint noises, limited mouth opening [33mm], jaw clicking, muscle twitching, ear pain and ringing in the ears."
Objective:
No tenderness was elicited upon palpation of the posterior temporalis bilaterally, middle temporalis bilaterally, anterior temporalis bilaterally, lateral temporomandibular capsule bilaterally, superficial masseter bilaterally, deep masseter bilaterally, sternocleidomastoid bilaterally, anterior digastric bilaterally, posterior digastric bilaterally and zygomaticus major bilaterally. Mild tenderness was revealed upon palpation of the trapezius bilaterally, lateral pterygoid bilaterally and medial pterygoid bilaterally. Moderate pain was elicited upon palpation of the deep posterior cervical muscles bilaterally....
"Stabilization program may include gradually subsiding appliance therapy. The patient's prognosis is good. Permanent impairment will be determined when the patient reaches maximum medical improvement. The estimated treatment time will be approximately 6 months.
So, (fingers crossed), I think things are looking good. If anyone knows how to explain that technical language in English, I'd be grateful.
