did you wear that splint 24/7 or was it just a nighttime splint? how long did it take for your molars to supra erupt?
the nighttime splint that has been made for me doesnt cover most of my molars.. for some reason, it had to be greatly modified to work with my open bite. i havent been wearing it because it gave me a bad gut feeling. sounds weird, but.. what can i say.

Saaraah,
I had worn my old splint for nightime only for three years which didn't cover my wisdom teeth at all. During the time I had worn it for those 3 years, my right wisdom teeth erupted......it was much higher than all my other teeth. That's the reason my tmjd has caused me more pain and tension in my jaw since. If your nightime splint doesn't cover your WISDOM teeth, I would go with your gut feeling....don't wear it.....
I don't know enough about your situation to give you some input, but if I were you, make sure you know everything you need to know from your doctor about your current splint. So, if your splint doesn't cover your WISDOM teeth, talk to your doctor about this and have your splint change or modifiy to cover those teeth. It's very important that those teeth be cover, if you are planning on wearing the thing for a long term, like 6 months or even less.
Any feedback would be appreicate.....thanks
Sandi
