[COLOR=DarkSlateBlue] This is my first flu since my tmj symptoms came out. My jaw disorder is not to bad, just some locking and grinding sounds, and once in a while a mild aches that doesn't seem to go away, especially on one side.
Now with the flu, it's really painful in my jaw joints, along with my teeth, especially in the back. Is this normal with TMJ sufferers?

i've never had the flu, so i cant really comment on how it affected my TMJD. however, have you been vomitting? that's really the only thing i can think of that could be the culprit for your increased symptoms.

I'm just getting over a bad respiratory virus. With all of the coughing, sinus pressure, etc., it's made my TMJD symptoms ten-fold. This happens every time that I get a bad cold/flu. I'd have to say this is normal for me, as well as for my kid who is a sufferer as well.

saaraah, no I haven't been vomiting, feeling like it, but not.
You're lucky that you have never had the flu!
I guess it'll be something that will start being a part of having the flu, ick.
It seems okay now, on the 2nd day, but it was killing me yesterday, it was hard
to sleep.

I hope it goes away soon to, thank you
