Is there a way to get quick, temporary relief?

Hi, i have a choir concert on tuesday (i have a solo too), and my jaw has been worse than normal recently. I don't have problems opening it, but it's sore, and the pops are louder than normal. Other than a liquid diet, what will help for short term relief? And i've been told that sometimes alternating ice and heat can be good...what is the best way to do that? Please help!

Well, for me, 600mg of Ibuprofen works for about 4 hours. That should hold you over??

Try to get a targeted massage. This has helped me in the past for some short term comfort. Good Luck.
