Stressed Out, Bad PAIN day.....ARGHHHH - TMJ Disorder -TemporoMandibular Joint Message Board

My ear hurt soo bad today not as bad as the worst days but definately close!!

I got a phone call at 8:30 am, didn't answer it, thought it was husband. After a few minutes I decided I better check who it was. Looked at caller ID it was dentist office. Figured they called to remind me I had appt at 1:30. checked message and was VERY upset. said they had to cancel becuase doc is sick. I figure "OK" I call and reschedule.....secratary tells me well.....now he can't see you till July 5th because he is going on vacation!!! I was sooo upset. hung up w/her then called back and said well can he at least call me in more muscle relaxers to hold me over....she said "NO" he only gives them for two weeks or until you feel better...so now I'm really frustrated!!!! So I was like the heck with them lemme see if there is someone else in the area who can see me sooner....NO LUCK!!! so, I know this was wrong, but I called back the office and asked them if there was anyone I could see in the meantime as I was told the soft splint was only temporary and I don't want to be in it "TOO" long. she said she didn't know, but would talk to doctor who "WILL" be in on thurs (they are closed weds) maybe he'll be mad, but oh well.....
Then I'm under so much pressure at work because the pres of are company is comming too our store on the 24th, and we are OVERWHELMED with shipment, it's everywhere and the store is a mess....I don't know how we're gonna do it ARGHHHHH

then I had a fight with my husband because I had a ciggarette and he hates it and wants me to quit, and now he's not talking to me...

I give up I really do!!!!

At least I'm off tomorrow!!

Hi Raquel:
I'd call the dentists office back since they said he only gives muscle relaxers for 2 weeks OR until you feel better and I'd tell her that I am NOT feeling better and it was not my fault the dentist got sick but now they are punishing me by making me wait until July 5th with no medication. What a jerk his office is to treat you that way. His secretary sounds like a real hag. But this has been my personal experience that if the office staff is RUDE it's because the professional allows them to be. In my experience, the office follows the professionals lead. Just something to think about. Perhaps you could go to your doctor and explain the situation to him and ask him if he would mind writing you a prescription for muscle relaxers until you can get in to see this dentist.
