In my opinion, you should seek someone who has experience in Functional Jaw Orthopedic because they know the relationship between jaw teeth, and joint. do a google for FJO.
Make sure you find a dentist that has experience in treating tmj. Now, that being said anyone can call themselves a "specialist." Be wise and come here for ideas, tips and help. The info you get here can really be of help.
