rock hard bump forming? - TMJ Disorder -TemporoMandibular Joint Message Board

Hey guys how's everyone doing?
As most of you know I've recently been off my steroids well since, I have been miserable I've also developed a rock hard pebble directly on top of joint VERY SORE TO TOUCH as my husband says "Well don't touch it" LOL still little things like washing my face are almost humorous "OUCH OUCH starting to feel like a freak show

anyway Is this normal? Is it dangerous? should I be calling my DR? I should be getting a call this week on what day surgery will be set I'm just wondering if I should inform him of this change Before I go in.
ANYONE know what this could be caused from?

Buff,
Wow that's a new one for me. I know some of us have a hard bump in front of our ears due to the muscle knotting up (I think), but I don't know about right on top of the joint. Maybe a calcium deposit or a bone spur? Poor Buff! I would call your doctor just to see what he thinks. Let us know what you find out.

yes i have had cortisone injections in the past and recently had the whole irrigation along with steroid injection in Oct never thought of that
