A question or two if I may - TMJ Disorder -TemporoMandibular Joint Message Board

Hi

My TMJ problems are on the left side and I do get pain all around that side of my head and face. However I aso get similar problems on my right hand side. Is this normal? For instance, currently both my ears feel full (pressure) which I can feel in my nose also, both eyes hurt, both sides of my jaw hurt a little also. Im also getting very very short and mildly painful stabbing pains in various locations of my head.

Also, im unsure if this is common with you guys but I am currently feeling kind of dizzy or unbalanced. Nothing serious at all but just a feeling I have. More like foggy headed if you understand?

Finally, I have a mouthguard which was made about 6 weeks ago for me to wear at night but recently have woken with small fragmnts from it. Is it normal to grind through these things?

I've been through several acrylic night/mouth guards.. eventually I had an oral surgeon fit me with a completley rubber one. It was bigger and not very attractive, but it helped..

The acrylic ones I cracked right through

Hi there,

all my probs started on my right side but lately they are on both sides and worse on my left? i get bad neck ache like i have been hit around my neck i also feel like all the glands around my jaw and neck are swallen and they burn sometimes, i have ear problems 24/7

i forgot to mention i get pain around my nose also and the other day i felt dizzy off balance thought i needed something to eat and when i started to eat my jaw locked, lasted about an hour, i dont get much jaw locking or poping but i used to wish i had seen someone about my problems then! i really could write a book LOL, My oral surgon di mention that sometimes when the clicking and poping stops the pain really starts? i have had lock jaw and clicking for around 4-5 years befor any pain and mine started with feeling off balance then full ear feeling was treated for sinus related probs!

anyway bye for now anyones thoughts would be helpfull

Hey I have exactly the same problems as you. The fullness and the pressure in both my ears are really bugging the heck out of me. My neck, back, and shoulder blades are sore. I have the clitching sounds whenever i open my mouth. The problems with my ears started a week ago. I thought there was an infection or something in my ears at first but after doing some research im almost positive that i have TMJ. I'm heading to the dentist tomorrow. Just wondering did you see a doctor? do u have TMJ? Because If you do, I probably do too.
