quest. about x-ray

They took x-rays of my joints and had me take my upper denture and lower partial out first. Would this be the correct way to do this -without my teeth in. Thanks .

Re: quest. about x-ray

Hello,
In my opinion, No. You have no support for you joints when they take your dentures out!!!! So when you bite to take the xrays, your joints are not in the right places. It makes moer sense if you take the xrays WITH the dentures on so that you know if your joints are in the right places.

But why did they take it out? If you have a full set of teeth, are they gonna take that out too?

Re: quest. about x-ray

The girl never said for me to bite. It didn't make sense to me either. Maybe I should get another x-ray done the right way - on them this time, as I don't feel my one joint is in the right place but he said according to the x-ray it was. Thanks.
