The symptoms that I am feeling are mainly on the left side....Shoulder pain, ear pain and plugged, almost like a toothache feeling but can not pinpoint which tooth is hurting.. I am in terrible pain and it comes in waves...I can be fine for a week or so and then it becomes horrible again. My dentist and Dr both have told me that this is classic of TMJ but I am fearful that it is something else. I have terrible anxiety and I can not help but think that it has something to do with my heart. I do grind and clench my teeth. What do you all think? The pain drives me insane. Ibuprofen does help a little. Does this sound like TMJ??? Please let me know if anyone feels the same...I can not stand the ear pain that shoots down my neck and across my jaw at times....Thank you in advance!

My first symptom was ear pain and I never had a pop or anything from my joints. I would think if your really that worried, please go to your family DR. and get a neck x-ray and have her listen to your heart sounds and get vital signs done. This will help ease your mind. Worrying about this can make things worst. Good Luck.
I felt the exact same way. I even did blood tests, x-rays and even a cat scan and everything came out fine. I too feel like you. For example, I've felt fine the last 3 days now all of a suddent oday, I feel more pain in my eyes and teeth. I have also developped a little anxiety from this. I hope it will go away. I know this won't help much because (because it didn't help me when people told me) but try not to worry. Get a few regular checkups, blood tests and xrays and you will see everything is fine. When you stressabout, you'll realize that your pain will become worse. Your breathing will also change making you think that it is a heart problem. That happens to me sometimes but please try not to worry. Get a check up and keep us all posted!
I had the EXACT same symptoms you do and I was diagnosed TMJ. I now wear a splint at nite, take ibuprofen and am destressing my life. My TMJ isnt quite as bad now and comes & goes depending on life. I cracked a molar tooth from gringing my teeth at night and had to have it capped. Thats when I learned the price of stress and anxiety and decided to get it out of my life as much as possible which has helped TREMENDOUSLY! Chill out and take care of yourself, anxiety isnt good for ANY part of your body! Get rid of the negativity in your life and I can tell you, it will help a lot! Good luck & take care....
