Hi there - when I wore my splint I went in every month for adjustments to it, as my jaw repositioned itself. Six months for follow-up visits seems too long - a lot can happen in a short time of splint treatment. Are you wearing it 24/7 or only at night? A 24/7 splint showed by checked and adjusted monthly or every 6 weeks.

Good luck to you,
Katie G

Probably - I see my dentist every 6 months for cleaning, check-ups, etc.

I'm hoping that by the time my TMD treatment is done, I will be done with seeing my orthodontist, but since I have another 2.5 years of braces, surgery, etc., I'll worry about that in the future.

Good luck to you,
Katie G
