Joint doesn't crack

Can you have TMJ even if your joint doesn't crack.

that's an interesting question. i've heard that as the tmjd increases or the severity of the degeneration increases, the joint sounds may decrease. i'll tell you though, all those joint sounds are scary to me whether they are happening to me or when i hear someone else describe their own.
