um.. nobody on the forum can tell you *exactly* if you can get braces. we're not dentists and have no idea what your diagnosis and problems are. you should get a diagnosis and then several opinions about treatment options.
usually, a patient goes thru splint therapy [phase 1], and if they no longer have pain or symptoms, they can proceed to phase 2. in phase 2, irreversible changes are done to the teeth and bite, which includes braces, crowns, etc. also, there are so many different kinds of splints as well as varying philosophies among dentists, so it's up to the patient to find a treatment they feel comfortable with.
