quick question about splint - TMJ Disorder -TemporoMandibular Joint Message Board

It seems that my teeth are not grinding as easily. It feels if that I am haveing to put more effort to grind my teeth which seems to me can cause loading on the joint and cause pain. Is there anything I should do about this? Also what is the proper way to take care of your splint. I brush it with my tooth brush is there any other things that I should do?

Yes that is how you take care of it. Those denture tabs work nice too. Don't put it in your dryer like I accidently did. I have tore up my splint over the past 8 months. I think it makes me grind more but it protects your teeth from that. Plus I think that at night it is safer and probably not grinding as much at night.
