Do you get this with TMJ?

There's a part of my head that seems to be tender to the touch that is on the same side as my ear pain. Is this a part of TMJ? How do you know when ear pain is a part of TMJ? I mean, it could be allergies or something like that right? How do you know?

Yes I have that, I also get spasms on that side of the head. I also have the ringing ears. I haven't been checked by a ear specialist but when the docs look in the ears they don't see anything.

Does your tenderness feel like an ingrown hair folicle that is in a certain area of your head? What do you do for it?

Re: Do you get this with TMJ?

No it covers an area of 3-4 inches. I'm on muscle relaxers now. And I have a TMJ dr. that is trying to help. He has made me an upper splint but everytime I get an adjustment it seems to aggravate things again. I had a brain Mri. I am also going to see a ear specialist. I have MS too so and my ears have bothered me for a lont time but only have had TMJ symptons since March, but who knows maybe all my ear symptoms were from TMJ. Have you been told you have TMJ?

Re: Do you get this with TMJ?

yes, I have been told I do have that but what throws me off now, is that my jaw isn't hurting right now. My left ear has pain, sinus is a little tender, not too bad though, and the strange thing is, my tender spot on my head which I have never had. It's kind of worrying me because the head thing is something new and like I said, it feels like someone has plucked hairs out of that area and now it hurts (of course no one has). I wonder if 800 Mg of IB Profin would help or if Midrin would be better. Wouldn't ya know, this would happen on the weekend! Oh, and I have sinus drainage down my throat too.
