Need A Great Tmj Dentist In Kentucky Or Surrounding States!

Hello,
My name is Tina. I have had tmj for 2 years now. The first year was hell. I have been doing great for past year until 2 weeks ago when I over exerted myself and now pain is back. I have another post on here under tina1966 if you would like to read it. My story is a long one. I really need to know the name of a great tmj dentist in Kentucky or surrounding states. The tmj dentist that treated me won't see me now because I went and got a second opinion 1 year ago after he told me I needed $20,000 worth of crowns put on to help my tmj get better and under control. By the way, UK told me I did not need all that crown work done. I am hoping this pain will subside and its just a setback, however, I went seeking help from a dentist here who suggested a NTI would do the trick..well..it did not...I just need to know if I really do need crowns or braces to fix this...or if I should just leave well enough alone...I do have several missing back teeth and could use a bridge. But otherwise have great gums, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated. I just cant believe my dentist would not see me...can he get away with this? Also, by tmj specialist I mean someone who has the special equipment they can hook you up to to see if your jaw is unbalanced...its very state of the art.
THanks so much. Tina

Re: Need A Great Tmj Dentist In Kentucky Or Surrounding States!

Well since you said Surrounding states........ I am from Northern Indiana. I dont know how far your willing to come, but my oral surgeon is a great doctor. He is great on informing you on everything you want to know, and all your options since he considers surgery as a last resort. He has an office in Fort Wayne as well as Warsaw. You should check into him if you are willing to come this far for a doctor. That is your decision completely. With all the years of being his patient i have never been unhappy. good luck with everything..
