How Long?
Hey guys..does anyone know how long it takes for your jaw to open all the way back up to full range? i've just been diagnosed w/ tmjd and i still cant open my mouth all the way back up ..its been 2 weeks now. the only thing i like about this is that when my jaw is locked it doesnt click or get stuck...does that sound wierd? any advice? id really appreciate any replies even if simple... i hate being left alone with all these questions.. thanx guys

It can take awhile to see any progress. Everyone is different but it's been my experience that the treatment goes rather slow for TMJ. 2 weeks really isn't very long, give it some time, it could take several months. Good luck with your treatment.

Thanx so much for the reply. Would you recommend I just go in to get an x-ray of the joint to be safe? I mean i get scared hearing some ppl talk about joint replacement surgeries!!
