Hello everyone,
Here is a situation: say you had perfect bite and you broke your last molar (no wisdoms) in half (all the cusps are gone). You go to the dentist immediately to get a crown. The question is: can the dentist restore the broken tooth to its original form? And how? Thanks in advance.

He should be able to figure it out based on your other teeth, an oral exam and impressions. He may just want to do a temp crown and let you use that for a while to see if you feel any pain, notice a difference in bite, or changes to your other teeth (sensitivity, pressure or pain), etc. Some temps can last 6 months or longer.
