Hello,
You definitely don't need an operation to cure this condition. At your age, doctors are going to tell you things you want to hear and i hope you don't get rush into whatever they're trying to sell you. And don't be in a rush to get this treated. Once you let a doc do things to your teeth, it's only going to get worse.
In my opinion, it would be better to see a regular dentist and ask him/her to check out your bite. And do a search for my sn. I've written a lot about how this condition can be treated. If you didn't have this prior to the extraction, your bite might just be a little off that's all. Nothing major. Good luck. GT
