I've been referred to a DDS in San Diego, Dr. Bill Halligan, who apparently specializes in treating TMJ disorders. As anyone in this forum had any experience with him, or know anyone who has?

kerk, I've never heard of him. I looked him up on the internet though. You could call his office to see if he offers a free consultation. Good luck and please post if you find a good DDS in San Diego. Sue

I didn't get the impression that a free consultation was an option, but he really took the time to talk on the phone, and sounds like a very caring doctor and individual. If he were further north, I would definitely go in for a consultation. I also heard about a different TMD specialist -- one much further north in the San Diego area -- and will post a separate thread on that.

That's pretty good that he talked to you on the phone. Good luck and I'd love to know how things work out for you. There's another TMJ specialist I heard about in Poway. Her name is Nicol R. Cook, DDS. She's a Neuromuscular DDS. I haven't talked to or seen her, so I don't know if she's caring or not. Sue
