There is a product callled Grindalert. I think I need to get one.
The other night for the first time I was clenching so hard it woke me up. I had read about how much pressure we exert but to actualy feel it was extremely alarming - it was as though I was going to split a tooth in half.
I'm undergoing NM splint treatment and when I told the dentist he said it was most probably caused by premature contacts which he would rebalance at the next adjustment. But to be honest I am not sure, maybe bruxing is caused by stress. It looks like nobody knows for sure.
I can well believe the point Rass brings up that our TMjs can't recover if we continue this kind of nightly violence
