well im back after a long time

i started doing TMJ treatment and i quit a few years ago the dentist was just milking me for money and i want to start again but my bite is messed up like my teeth sit on top of each other when i close my moth i want to go straight to brace if any tell me to visit a TMJ doctor im not coming back i have no pain with my tmj what do you guys think if i get braces and the orthodontist gave me a splint?

Going straight to braces will most likely no help at all because you need to achieve the correct bite first. The correct bite is when your joints are within the Gelb 4/7. If your teeth are aligned properly but they're so short at the back, is that the correct bite? No. The joints are mostly like too up in the fossa.

i dont care about my tmj i can live with the clicking or the splint because in the long run if i try to correct it like you guys said b4 there is no cure and all treatments are a risk i think IMO that these doctors are milking patients of thier money.

I really didn't get your question. Are you asking if you should get braces or splint? But you don't want to see a tmj doctor?
