Help for tmj--wearing an oral sensor - TMJ Disorder -TemporoMandibular Joint Message Board

I was reading a tmj newsletter today and it stated that most tmj sufferers also clench or grind their teeth at night. Well I do....it said that in order to get control of your problem you had to control the clenching. The way it said to do that was to wear an oral sensor at night. I was wondering if anyone out there has done this?

Hi, I have not used one, but a friend of mine saw a tmj specialist in Tampa and recommended she use one. It worked for her after many splints and she no longer suffers with any tmj symptoms. It took her awhile to get used to it but she swears by it. Good luck.
