Re: pain under the scalp and TMJ
I have experienced this problem, and been told that it is a symptom of TMJ. The way it was described to me is that your bite can be a little off putting extra pressure and force on the back of your neck muscles that work to connect to the connective tissue around your scalp. A cool trick my physical therapist told me was to get two tennis balls and put them in an old panty hose leg or tube sock, so the tennis balls are kinda close. Lie down on the ground and put the sock at the base of your head. Roll back and forth so this releases tension of those muscles. it can be uncomfortable at first if those muscles are really tense, but it is worth it! Hope this helps!
