| NSAID's
I was wondering if anyone knows about the approximate time its going to take for the NSAID's(OTC variety) to kick in and begin to reduce swelling. My TMJ symptoms as far as pain and jaw clicking go are very mild. My jaw doesn't quite open all the way and feels rather strange upon opening it but its not too bad. So the area around my joint being swollen is really the only thing bothering me really bad.
I was also wondering on the correct dosage. I don't want to call the doctor I've seen an idiot but he basically told me absolutely nothing about TMJ. Just gave me a pamphlet about it. He's an ear, nose and throat doctor which I've read don't typically know all that much with regards to TMJ but it is to my understanding that modern medicine as a whole doesn't know that much either and since my symptoms are very mild I'll probably refrain from seeing another doctor. Most of what I do know has come off of the web and as far as dosages go I've read conflicting reports.
