Has anyone had good luck with seeing a chiropractor for their TMJ, and if so, did the chiropractor specialize in anything? My TMJ neuromuscular dentist said he thought a chiropractor might complement his work, as one of my symptoms is numbness in one arm, and he said that the chiropractor can help with my neck muscles while he works on my bite, helping with other symptoms.
Hey buddy ! i dont no i will find out on 11 th June, i suffer so bad from earaches but ill let u no .. apparantly is does and so does podiatry .. good luck ! hang in there!
Chiros do compliment tmj dentist's work - although I am surprised yours did not have any referrals - most have a few they work with or at least know of. Search the web under ICAK for a chiro trained in kinesiology - I have done better with that type and I am on my 3rd different chiro now. A NUCCA or Upper Cervical chiro is good or one trained in sports medicine. Some do specialize in tmj so ask or check around. The first one I went to was a regular chiro and used an activator and he was not bad either but the benefits from the chiro kinesiologist seem to be more pronounced.
hi there. i went to see a chiro because i also got back pain from my TMJ. he kind of diagnosed my TMJ and also manipulated my spine but for me it didnt have any effect. you might be different though. x
