Hey there everyone ... i was wondering has anyone at all whatsoever been fixed by a lower plate splint ... and when they have been fixed... have they had earaches which then got fixed? ( by earaches i mean sharp stabbing pains which last 3 seconds, feels like a ice pick in the ear... and happens randomly even if you think you feel great?)....

Any sucess with a lower plate splint.. i have excrutiating earaches and also a lower plate splint for 4 weeks ( which is supposed to fix my displaced jaw disk...)

Instead of bone rubbing on bone .. maybe its muscular... any success stories with splints please share with me...

Im desperate for a glimmer of hope...

I was fixed with an orthotic a lower splint, that was adjusted every 3 to four weeks until the lower jaw came forward than the doctor put six crowns on the lower molars to secure the bite.
I know wear the splint at night. Sometimes during the day if stressed, still have to watch what I eat or flare-ups. I was taking botox for the muscle cramping before I got the splint (orthotic).

Do you think the botox helped you or the lower plate splint?

Also did you have the same symptom as me? like the earaches which only last 3 seconds but are excrutiating and they come on randomly....have they vanished for you?

How long until your symptoms vanished?
