Exclamation IMPORTANT: Temera2 update, please respond!

Hey there everyone, i haven't been able to go online in ages due to family commitments.. how are you all my beautiful people..??? You have all been in my prayers.. life has been SO hectic hey!

Just letting you know my progress...( i have been diagnosed with slipped jaw disks which they are trying to position back)

Upper splint- had for 1 month and 2 weeks!
Lower splint - had for 3 months!
(i adjust it every week)

Attended chiropractic treatment twice a week for 8 weeks!
Own orthopedics( the things you put in your shoe for maximum benefit of walking) given by my podiatrist.

Results - My neck and back has never felt better, i recommend Chiro to help with those issues, my orthotics for my feet have been ultimate heaven, ever since wearing them my posture has become VERY GOOD and i have more energy the results of this are revolutionary.. ( PLEASE TRY this people!) my splints have straightened my teeth, clicking has gone, i hardly suffer excruciating earaches however i still have sore jaws and my ears do still hurt, either one or the other.. it isn't as bad but still ARGH! Whats happening?

My question is since my earaches return.. am i not getting better... will they ever just go away.. ???? What do you guys think.. anyone been in this position??

What can i do ??? I still sleep with my heatpac..

STRESS and the cold Aggravate pain? Agreed?

Let me know what you all think and how you are going

I also booked in with a facial surgeon and i need no surgery according to him ( everyone please do this so you can tick it off your list to not have to go back to him).. its all about trial and error people but i know it is dear.. trust me i'm a broke student but its all for our health so lets think long term!! Invest in Curing your TMJ it can be done.. it requires research , time and patience.. i Love you all and i am praying for you all... we can overcome this, i know we can!

Let me know what you think is occurring with me? And update me on how you Are, thanks in advance, looking forward to hear from you xo

Actually temera it sounds like you have made a lot of progress - yes, you still have the ear aches but it seems like they may not be as excrutiating as they intially were and overall your body is starting to respond to treatment - and you are right, b/c tmj affects an integral part of our skeletal structure you need to treat the entire body orthopedically since oral splints alone can not do the job - so seeing the chiro and/or podiatrist will help. Hang in there - I am sure as more time passes and your body further corrects itself the ear aches will ease up but it defintely sounds like you are on the right track now.

How wonderful to hear you are getting better. I think the earaches will get better and better when they can quit adjusting the splints , then think will heal in the socket and inflammation will go down.

What type of orthotics are you wearing, for your arch support or is one leg shorter than the other?

Do you wear both splints?

Also what type of surgery are you talking about getting?

Sound like your getting great care, and sounds like your body is adjusting well.
thanks for writing.

Hey my beautiful people,

Thanks so much for your quick responses and kind words...

I am thinking of you guys hey .. i just know we can overcome this and WE will be FREE.. ! Even if i am 100% i will keep on track on this board as i want to see you ALL well! But i will always update my progresses every 1-2 months or so.

My big brother when 19 went through hell , he had lymphoma and nearly died.. he suffered hell from the years of 01-04 and still he isnt 100% but he beat his cancer.. hes now 26and now has a good job and is getting his life back on track.. i recall that when he was in his worst.. he hung in there but he doesnt ever like speaking about it as he went through to much pain, Stem cell being the worst and months and months of radiation and chemotherapy... I hate illnesses hey!
i look to him as inspiration and to you guys as well...

In response to your questions i wear orthotics as all my life i have had flat arches and i walk outwards so i remember getting aching legs all the time and just go tired.. but PLEASE give them ago ... they changed my life with my walking...

Yes i wear both an upper and lower splint. I adjust them both weekly.Ive had my lower for 3 months and my upper for around 1 month and 2 weeks.

In regards to surgery, well the reason i saw a surgeon is my family began freaking out as i was in SO much earpain all the time and they thought to gain a opinion ... it was good to see a surgeon just to be sure..and he said i definitely dont need an surgery as he looked at xrays i got from my dentist.. its REALLY worth the second opinion..

Also i resigned my job as it occured to me to overcome TMJ we need as less on our plates as we can possibly have until we recover fully.

I'd say im 75% better than last year but i do get my flare-ups alot.. I hate them as you automatically think you are moving backwards.. just then my left ear hurt but its gone for the time being and my jaws are aching like anything... but hopefully the frequency of earaches will leave!

How are you all going? ... You are in my prayers. Thanks again Thelma Louise and luvtocamp for your responses! i am thinking of you both!

Thanks again for all your support... Love Always Temera

Oh, well I'm so happy for you, and glad you don't need surgery. You sound like your doing so much better. Its good to read about people getting better and so much depends on your healthcare providers. It sounds like you have a good attitude to.
