Hi everyone--I'm in desperate need of an excellent TMJ specialist that does non-invasive work in Northern ILLinois area. Please if you have good referrals, let me know asap. Thanks..
HI--Thanks for getting back so quick. How do you know of Dr. Goldman? Has he personally helped you or someone you know? I have seen his website before, but I'm always cautios trying new doc. , I would rather have referrals. What do you know of him, and does he have a good success rate? I got tmj in highschool because of braces being done wrong on me. I'm suffering right now with popping joints, really bad muscle spasms, and my joints grating (glass sounds) driving me crazy. I need to some how stabalize my bite and the joints so hopefully popping will go away. Anyways, any info. on your experience or knowledge of Dr. Goldman I would greatly appreciate!! Thanks! J.
Sorry, I have not personally been to Dr. Goldman and I don't personally know anyone who has. My TMJ Dentist at the U of Oklahoma spoke highly of him and originally referred me to his website. So, I guess it is all second hand info about him.
I have already seen about 10 specialists. However, in the case that I had not already spent a fortune and lived in the Chicago area, I would definitely visit with him based on what others have said.
You mentioned "non-invasive".. To me that would be a prolotherapy specialists and you have the best in the U.S. right there in Oak Park, IL, Dr, Ross Hauser, author of "Prolo Your Pain Away".
Thanks--What is prolotherapy? Never heard of it. My main concerns are splints changing my bite, don't want that. and irreversable changes done to my bite while trying to find a solution. I will look in to this doc. asap. thanks.
