Re: New Fellowship Thread....

I'll join you on your complaining....here goes...
*stabbing ear pain
*awful shoulder ache
*tooth ache in all teeth bottom & lower
*my skin feels so tight I can feel each time I blink in great detail (if you know what I mean?)
*headache
*Clicks in head and neck, I even feel a click in my throat each time I swallow
*My face, jaw, mouth just feels more uncomfortable this week
All of these symptoms are on my left side of my face and body. I am aware of them on a daily basis most of the time but this week I'm experienceing them all at the same time and they're all more intense than usual.

I just feel so frustrated that I all I want is to feel relaxed and be able to focus on something other than one or all of my symptoms, to wake up one day without feeling like I have to shift my jaw into a comfortable position, without wondering what am I able to eat today, without having to put my plate in which has 2 false teeth (I can't have implants due to the TMJD) and then discovering that the plate is actually causing more problesm so half way through the day at work I have to take it out and then I spend the rest of the day at work afraid to talk or smile to anyone because they'll notice the gap in my teeth. Grr!!

I know things could be worse, there are pople in life around the world far worse off than I, but I just needed to have a moan about how I'm feeling this week.

*sigh* There got it off my chest now

Re: New Fellowship Thread....

Oh, I hear you. I have trouble sleeping, the ear pain is so bad. I made the mistake of eating some crunchy foods Tuesday and have been paying for it ever since. I knew not to, but, the soft food thing gets old after a while. The rainy weather where I live doesn't help either.

Major EYE pain...but what else is new?

Ya know, ONE thing I have never had any trouble with this entire time is eating food. I see people complaining about eating soft foods, hard/crunchy foods give them problems...but not me!

One thing I don't get is that my specialist told me that I do not have bone on bone rubbing against each other....then why when I stick my finger in my ear I can feel something that sounds like bone on bone when when I close and open my jaw?

Re: New Fellowship Thread....

Okay, my turn on the train. How's this for a day? I went for a sleep study last night (it's never just the TMJ) and found out that I have sleep apnea. I didn't sleep much as I was having a sleep study done, electrodes, mini michrophone, breating belts, and other monitoring devices on. So... after not sleeping well last night I walked in the door at 6:15 a.m. I had a CAT scan at 8:00 (to see where my kidney stones are), and I found that I couldn't get into my bedroom as my husband locked it. So I sat on the recliner and slept for an hour before the CAT scan. I made it through the scan, and walked back in the house at 8:45 figuring that I could now sleep for a couple of hours. I was greeted with my husband fussing at me that he couldn't make his breakfast because our daughter didn't wash the stove last night after she cooked. Please note that our daughter has Asperberger syndrome, so I'm thrilled that she cooked for us. Well... after cleaning the stove I was too wound up to sleep. It's now 10:15 so I think I'll go to bed and get that much needed sleep. Perhaps I should lock the bedroom door tonight, what would my husband do?
Thanks for letting me vent. I'll get some sleep then pull myself up by my bootstraps again tomorrow.
Peggy
